It is important that clients are aware of the advisory landscape, driven by the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) which was implemented from 31st December 2012.

My team and I fully embrace the changes, particularly those relating to enhanced professionalism, and are proud to hold Chartered Financial Planning status, only a minority of financial advisory firms have been awarded this title reflecting our commitment to professionalism, capability and ethics. Key to the Whitechurch approach is the belief that investment management and financial planning are specialist disciplines. For over 20 years we have operated with a dedicated team of investment managers that work closely with our advisers to offer tailored, actively managed investment portfolios and this will remain instrumental to our approach.


Specialist Service

Whitechurch is focused on providing holistic financial planning as well as providing risk rated, tailored investment propositions. At the same time we will avoid specific product areas that we feel are unsuitable for retail investors.

As defined by the Financial Conduct Authority, our service constitutes Restricted Advice. Whilst we offer holistic financial planning services, we do not recommend what we consider to be high risk investments and where we feel discretionary investment management is suitable we will recommend our own in-house service.
It is important to note that we provide advice on all areas of financial planning, i.e. investment, savings, protection and pension/retirement planning. However, where clients are looking for a Discretionary Fund Management investment solution, or our advisers feel Discretionary Fund Management is appropriate, this will be carried out by our in-house investment team. Nevertheless, we can still offer advisory portfolios for clients who do not want this service.

  • The service we promote is advice; transactions may or may not follow.
  • Whitechurch will handle all dealings between you and any product provider where applicable.
  • You will have a dedicated adviser who follows the Whitechurch Chartered approach.
  • You will have a personal contact point for all administration - not a faceless helpdesk
  • We provide a quarterly publication covering views on investment markets and advisory services.
  • You will receive a customer feedback questionnaire each time advice is given.
  • We will maintain relevant products and services with ongoing research and due diligence.
  • Your investments or pensions can be managed on a day to day basis under discretionary management or monitored periodically by an adviser.
